Privacy, explained clearly.

Last updated: 26 September 2026. ToolOut is operated by Mritunjay Kumar in India. This page explains the information used by our website and its tools.

Files and local processing

Tools such as text utilities, image resizing, and PDF editing process their input in your browser. Selecting a file for a local tool does not by itself upload it to ToolOut. Downloaded results are saved where your browser normally saves files. Local file processing does not mean that the website makes no network requests: pages can load fonts, libraries, AI model files, and other resources from external services.

Review the individual tool before entering sensitive information. Online features described below send the information needed for their task to a service outside your browser.

Accounts and saved tools

If you create an account, Supabase handles authentication and stores your email address, username, account identifier, and authentication information. Authentication cookies keep you signed in. We use account information to provide sign-in, email confirmation, password recovery, and your saved toolbox.

Saved and recently opened tool identifiers are stored in this browser. When you sign in, these preferences are also saved to your account in Supabase and merged across devices. This sync concerns the tools you use, not the contents of files you process in local tools. Theme choices, font preferences, and some tool drafts or settings also use browser storage.

Online tools and external providers

  • AI resume features send the input you submit to ToolOut's API, which may forward it to OpenRouter and the selected model provider. This can include resume text, job descriptions, and instructions.
  • Domain lookups send the domain you enter to online lookup services.
  • Connecting Gmail uses Google and Firebase authentication. When you send a campaign, recipients and message contents are sent through the Gmail API with your authorization. You can revoke ToolOut's access in your Google account connections.
  • The TeraBox tool sends a submitted share link or identifier to ToolOut's API and external link-resolution services to request file information. Only submit links you are permitted to share with those services.

Providers apply their own privacy and retention practices. See Supabase's privacy policy, OpenRouter's privacy policy, and Google's privacy policy.

Quiz Maker

The MCQ Quiz Maker is not a purely in-browser tool. To let you share a quiz and score responses, the quizzes you create — their questions, options, and settings — are stored in Supabase under your account. When a signed-in participant attempts a quiz, their selected answers, score, and submission time are also stored there so the quiz's creator can view results and per-question analytics. A creator can see the ToolOut username of participants who responded to their quizzes. Correct answers are graded on the server and are not sent to a participant's browser before they submit. Deleting a quiz removes its questions and stored responses.

Contact messages

Submitting our contact form sends your name, email address, subject, and message to ToolOut and stores them in Supabase so we can read and respond to your request. The separate "Email instead" button prepares a draft in your own email application; you must send that draft yourself. Direct emails are handled through email services.

Please send only the details needed to explain your question. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or private documents.

Cookies, advertising, and analytics

The image compressor and word counter emit tool-open, processing, failure and download-action events through the existing Tag Manager integration. Event payloads contain only an event name and tool identifier, without filenames, text, image contents or error details.

ToolOut integrates Google AdSense and Google Tag Manager. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads. Tags configured through Tag Manager may collect usage information such as pages visited, device and browser details, and network identifiers.

You can manage personalized Google ads in My Ad Center and learn about participating vendors' choices at YourAdChoices. See how Google uses information from partner sites. Where a consent message is displayed, use its controls to manage your choices. Browser cookie settings provide additional controls.

Storage and your choices

Clearing your browser's site data removes local preferences and drafts and may sign you out. It does not delete your account, synced preferences, or previously submitted contact messages. Signing back in may restore synced tool preferences.

To request access, correction, or deletion of account information or a contact message, email support@toolout.online from the associated email address. We may need to verify the request before changing account data. Information already sent to an external service is also subject to that service's controls.

Questions and updates

We update this page when the site's features or data handling change. For privacy questions, contact support@toolout.online or use the contact page.
